Chazon Mentoring Programme
Chazon Mentorship is designed to support ambitious young people as they take their first steps into the corporate world and begin building their financial future.
The programme is not a one-off coaching session. It is an ongoing mentorship relationship focused on three outcomes:
Helping you secure the right career opportunity
Building strong financial foundations once you begin earning
Developing a habit of giving back so your progress can help create opportunities for others
Mentorship is free, but spaces are limited. We ask that everyone who applies is proactive, responsive and willing to put the work in between sessions.
Mentoring Process
-
The first stage of the programme is focused on helping you become ready for the corporate job market. This is achieved in four sessions:
Introduction Call - We get to know your background, goals and the opportunities you want to pursue.
CV Review - We strengthen your CV so it clearly communicates your experience, skills and potential.
Application Strategy - We build a focused plan for the roles, organisations and opportunities you should target.
Interview Preparation - We prepare you for interviews, assessment centres and other key stages of the recruitment process.
After the initial four steps, we will check in monthly to review progress and support your next steps.
You can also reach out when something important comes up, such as an interview, assessment centre, offer or application decision.
-
Once you start earning, Chazon will help you establish basic financial principles so that you can begin building wealth from the start of your career rather than trying to correct poor habits later. We do this in four sessions:
Financial Introduction - We will discuss your income, responsibilities and financial priorities, alongside the basic principles of managing money well.
Build Your Budget - We will create a simple framework for managing your monthly income across spending, saving and longer-term priorities.
Account Setup - We will look at how you can organise your finances practically, including separate accounts for everyday spending, bills, savings and longer-term goals.
Financial Goals - We will identify the goals you want to work towards and create a simple plan around them. These may include building a rainy day fund, or purchasing your first home.
After completing the financial foundations programme, we will move to quarterly check-ins. These sessions are to help review your progress, adjust your goals as your circumstances change and continue developing good financial habits as your career grows.
-
As your career and financial foundations grow, we encourage you to make giving a regular part of how you manage your money.
The principle is simple: as you build, help someone else build too.
We encourage mentees to set aside a monthly portion of their income for giving. This could support Chazon, another charitable cause, your community or someone in need.
The amount is less important than building the habit.
Giving is a core part of the Chazon model because we believe opportunity should create opportunity. The support, knowledge and access you receive should ultimately extend beyond you.
Over time, our hope is that Chazon mentees become people who not only build successful careers and strong financial foundations, but also use what they have to open doors for others.
